FOUNDATION

There has been so many special things happening in Foundation this week! We have been learning lots of new things, working together and building our resilience.

In Literacy, we have continued developing our understanding of the different sounds and digraphs that we have learnt so far, as well as their corresponding cued articulation actions. We have been learning about the correct structure of a sentence and we have been developing our oral language skills by verbally constructing sentences using adjectives. We have enjoyed taking part in lots of different reading and phonics activities during Reading Groups. 

In Maths, we have been learning about time, describing what we do at various times throughout the day, as well as building up our recognition of the days of the week. This week we will be exploring lots of different patterns that we can see in the environment and creating our own ones.

In Inquiry, we thoroughly enjoyed the Puppet Incursion which has given us lots of tips on how to put on an engaging puppet show. This should help us while we create our own sock puppets this week. We have also been lucky to take part in a water safety at the beach incursion run by Life Saving Victoria.
