MacKillop Art Exhibition
The annual Catholic Education Sandhurst Limited, MacKillop Art Exhibition takes place online and in the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bendigo. If interested, your child will be required to submit a recent artwork as an audition to show talent and an interest in the Visual Arts. This artwork is to be submitted to Mark Almond by 17 June 2024.
Mark will work with selected students in Years 5 to 12 during allocated class time throughout Term 3 and will select the final entrants, while Ellie Phillips will be selecting final artwork from SOW students. If selected as part of St Anne’s College final submissions, your child’s artwork will take part in a whole Sandhurst Diocese Exhibition in Bendigo.
This Term at St Anne’s College we wish to celebrate the great talents that our students have been gifted with. Art teachers from each school in the Diocese have the hard task of submitting a select amount of artworks. If a student's work is not chosen to participate in the exhibition, it will be exhibited here at school with recognition of the work they have undertaken. Final competition artwork will need to be submitted by Friday 8 September 2024.
What would you say to parliament if they you were an MP?
The Parliament Prize asks students from Grade 5 to Year 12 what they would say to parliament if they were an MP and invites them to submit their own 90-second Member’s Statement video. This is a valuable opportunity to support student voice and hear what young Victorians have to say about issues affecting their community.
Entries close at 5pm Friday 14 June 2024 and full competition details are available on the Parliament Prize website or at vicparl.news/parlprize
Once the competition has wrapped, Member for Shepparton Kim O’Keeffe MP will be provided with a summary of the issues and topics that students from the region spoke about.

Order Logan's locally-produced honey
Year 11 student Logan Kempinski is an avid beekeeper with about 100 beehives housing about 60,000 bees in each hive. So that's 6,000,000 bees which are located across five local properties around Murchison. The bees are collecting pollen and nectar from Australian native Greybox trees. Logan sells the honey which he packages into 500gm and 1kg tubs as well as 500gm squeezey bottles. If you'd like to give Logan's honey a try, you can complete an order form here
St Anne's Sports Association News
We are seeking expressions of interest from School of Wonder students, siblings and friends who may be interested in playing soccer for St Anne’s in the 2024 SJSA season.
We are also seeking expressions of interest from parents, aunts, uncles etc. to become junior soccer coaches and team managers. These are vital roles; if we don’t have a coach and team manager for each team, a team cannot be formed. Participating in soccer is a great way to build friendships and get active.
Click the following link to an Expression of Interest form to let us know if you would like to get involved:
