Senior Art Exhibition

On Wednesday 11th October, we had our Senior Art Exhibition once again! Our exhibition is not based on the best work, rather than the great efforts students make to finish their work. Our students past and present, community and staff were invited to attend. It is always a pleasure to see many people attend and enjoy the great works produced by our senior students. During the evening, we also had some instrumental students perform and there were light refreshments of which there was an abundance. We also had our raffle draw with lots of prizes to win. This would not occur without great sponsorship by Deans Art and Sky Music.

The Principal Class were also given an opportunity to select their favourite work and there was even a People's Choice Award. All students selected for awards were excited to receive a certificate and recognition.

Kindness Cookies

Students in Junior Food Technology baked and gifted Jam Drop ‘Kindness Cookies’ as part of their contribution to the DHS Visible Wellbeing implementation. Many lucky members of the school community were fortunate to receive this yummy gift including students, staff and families. Students prepared a gift tag and wrote a message of kindness and thanks to their chosen recipient. The students learnt a valuable lesson on the gift of giving and what can be accomplished through kindness.

Lunchtime Concert

The Rock Band performed a secret lunchtime concert that was well received by all in attendance. How lucky are we to have live music to enjoy while having lunch?
