We are proud to announce that seven of our dedicated and accomplished teachers have been selected to be part of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) examination assessment process and will be involved in the assessment of Unit 3/4 (Year 12) examinations.

We congratulate the following teachers for being selected as VCAA assessors for 2023:

  • Daniela Boehme
  • Celeste Cameron
  • Phillip Hyde
  • Daniel Mani
  • Peter McCarthy
  • Geetha Nair
  • Jen Stafford

Being selected as VCAA assessors is a significant honour and reflects the expertise and commitment of our teachers, but also provides our students with many benefits. With their firsthand experience in assessing examinations, our teachers gain unique insights into the assessment process, enabling them to guide our students more effectively in their studies and exam preparations.

Congratulations to our dedicated teachers for their well-deserved recognition as VCAA assessors. We are proud to have them as part of the Good News Lutheran College family, shaping the future of education with their expertise and dedication.

Enrolment for 2024

At this time of the year, we remind all families who might be planning to move on from the College in 2023 to please let us know. There are a number of reasons that we do this, but in particular it means we are able to:

  • Plan facilities for 2024 (such as the number of lockers, chairs, tables etc.)
  • Arrange staffing to ensure we have the right number of quality teachers
  • Schedule a student and staff timetable for lessons and activities
  • Offer positions to families on our waiting list to join the College

If you are planning on continuing at Good News in 2024, then you don't need to do anything further. If you are a family with child/ren from Prep to Year 11 in 2024, and you are considering leaving the College you must provide one Terms notice in writing to the Admissions Officer admissions@goodnews.vic.edu.au by Friday 15 September (today) or you will be charged a Terms fee on your college account.

Extended Holidays during School Term

Families are reminded that they need to seek written permission from the College Principal to take their children out of school for extended periods of leave during school Term. On taking leave, students need to ensure that they remain up to date with any assessments and show endeavour to complete assessments before taking their leave.
