As the academic year winds down for 2023, our Sports Program continues with regular training, clinics and matches across both campuses.
Our after-school and before-school Tennis participants are continuing to develop their personal abilities and game understanding. I have enjoyed watching these students persist and overcome technical challenges as they become more complete players.
Our 2024 secondary students who want to take part in the School Sport SA Tennis Championships, must register and join our Team App page. All sporting news is placed here for students and parents.
Junior School Fundamental Basketball clinics have progressed well. Students have:
The sound of excited children bouncing basketballs all directions may not sound appealing to many, however, seeing the smiles on their faces, hearing a simple ‘Thank you’ and watching them run-off with their supervising family members is fantastic to see. Taking part in a simple activity is not only good for students, but also an opportunity for family members to create further connections with each other.
Information about our 2024 Netball Development program for Years 7-12 has been sent out and we will soon share when the trials will take place.
Our Junior School Netball information for 2024 will be sent out early next year as some programs are being relaunched by outside organisations.

Week 3 saw our Year 5-10 Male and Female Table Tennis teams take part in strong competitions at the Woodville Table Tennis Club. Our teams of three players, competed in Division 1 Gold and Silver divisions. Preparations were inconsistent and difficult to hold due to the high number of lesson and event clashes, but despite this, those who were able to come out showing commitment were able to hold their own, perform well on the day and achieve team success. Table Tennis is not one of our usual highly publicised sports, but the sport itself is a very challenging, strategic, technical sport that appeals to another group of students who are very able and passionate and want to compete representing themselves and the College. It was great to see students be involved in this sport as for some this is the only event they can or feel comfortable taking part in. Thank you to Mr Roberts for overseeing these teams on the day and the other key staff assisting with trials and trainings leading up to.
