Learning Community 2

We are less than one week from Camp! Please check Compass for any final reminders. 

Students are encouraged to bring bathers for the slip 'n' slide, and to bring their own lunch for the Wednesday, in a small backpack. 

We have continued to revise Maths topics - we have covered both addition and subtraction last week and multiplication and division this week. We have learnt about how to find the important information in worded problems, and how to use a range of strategies to solve these types of sums. 

In Writing we have finished writing a narrative and we are editing it. We have used a range of editing symbols to show missing punctuation, corrected spelling, additional words etc. 

Our stories are great and we are looking forward to typing and publishing them! 

During Reading we have read and followed a series of procedural texts. We followed the instructions to make swirling snakes, shark art and Chinese dragons. Check out our pictures! 

We also looked at whether the texts included all the necessary elements for a procedural.
