9/10 Outdoor Ed camp

Over the past two weeks, our Year 9 & 10 Outdoor Education students enjoyed three days of bushwalking and overnight camping in the Victorian High Country. Carrying overnight packs, they experienced the Delatite trail, summitting Mt. Sterling and visiting cattleman's bush huts. They covered over 25km on some steep terrain! The Year 10 group did a fantastic job tackling the King Spur trail with full overnight hiking gear to camp overnight on the Bluff just below the top of Sterling. Due to often rapidly changing weather conditions, the Year 9s were sheltered by a snowstorm on Day 1 and lucky enough to hike through the snow on Day 2 to incredible views from Mt.Sterling and across to Mt.Buller. Access to the school camp at Mahaikah was a welcomed retreat in a few days of sub-zero temperatures! Well done to all students on another tremendous outdoor experience!
