MRC: RAGE Book Club excursion

Last Monday the members of the RAGE Book Club visited the Atheneum Library in Collins St. This library is the oldest subscription based library. It still retains many of its historical character including the first ever mechanical lift (it is still operational today). As Jill, the librarian, explained to the students, the library specializes in biographies, whole series collections and crime to name a few.

We then headed to Dymocks where the students had the opportunity to select a book to be added to the MRC collection. A well- deserved hot chocolate added a little indulgence to our literary adventure.

YR 7 2024: Ready To Go

Over recent weeks Ms Karen Fogarty and Ms Alex Cowin have been visiting our Year 7 2024 students in their primary schools. The conversations have been filled with excitement; about celebrating Year 6 final days and anticipating life at Academy of Mary Immaculate. Our future Year 7 students have shared multiple examples of what they are looking forward to next year. We wish them well for their final weeks of primary school and can't wait to see them in action in 2024!
