Welcome and overall learning summary

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and extending a warm welcome to the Level Three community for 2024! To our returning families, welcome back to our school, and to the new families joining the Glen Waverley Primary School community, we extend a heartfelt welcome. The year has begun brilliantly, with our learner's displaying commitment and enthusiasm as they settle into their learning. We look forward to celebrating the growth and successes of every learner throughout this Term!
At Glen Waverley Primary School, we deeply value building meaningful and purposeful connections with our learners, families and wider community. Our classroom doors are always open as well as our emails so please don’t hesitate in contacting us if you have any questions, thoughts or concerns. We really look forward to getting to know our Level 3 families as we establish a partnership with you to further enhance the academic, social and emotional growth of your child/ren.
The Level Three Teaching and Learning Team are:
Mrs Trish Singh (Teaching and Learning Leader) - Hi All! I love spending time with family, close friends, exploring new places, yoga and pilates. I look forward to learning more about your interests and building connections throughout the year!
Miss Kimberley Stevenson (3A) - I love gardening, hiking, camping, crafting and baking as hobbies. I get out for a few runs and pilates during the week. I spend lots of time with my family and friends, enjoying big meals together with plenty of laughs!
Miss Jamie Dimopoulos (3B, Assistant Teaching and Learning Leader) - I love spending time with my family and friends, travelling the world and exploring new spaces. I enjoy going to the gym and achieving new personal bests!
Miss Bee Wong (3C) -I love to cook food from different cultures and share these with my family and friends. I also enjoy going for long drives to explore new places, and spending time at the beach!
Ms Jenny Ota (3D) - I sing in a choir and have an adorable one-year-old golden retriever. I lived in Japan for seven years, and I love going out for meals or coffee with family and friends. I'm a big fan of festivals, the beach, and hot springs. I also enjoy Disney and support the Collingwood football team! I look forward to a great year ahead!
Miss Yuling Weng (3E) - I love playing tennis and singing to keep both my body and mind energised. I also enjoy trying out new recipes in my kitchen!

- Monday 17th February to Wednesday 19th February - Swimming Program Year 3 Commences
- Monday 24th February to Wednesday 26th February - Swimming Program Year 3 Continues
- Monday 10th March – No School Public Holiday
- Wednesday 12th March to Friday 21st March – NAPLAN testing
- Friday 4th April – Last Day Term 1 2:30pm finish
- Tuesday 22nd April – First Day of Term 2
