Gill Dowd
I am delighted to introduce myself as the Acting Wellbeing and Aboriginal Education Coordinator for the remainder of Term 1. Having been a part of this wonderful school community for 17 years, I am honoured to take on this role and continue contributing to the wellbeing and educational success of our students.
I believe our school is a wonderful place for students to attend and I am passionate about fostering a school environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. Wellbeing is at the heart of student success, and I am committed to supporting young people, educators and families to have the tools, resources, and guidance they need to navigate school life with confidence and resilience.
Equally, I am dedicated to strengthening Aboriginal education within our school—promoting cultural understanding, respect, and pride in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, perspectives, and contributions.
I look forward to collaborating to create an inclusive, supportive, and enriching environment for our students.
Please feel free to reach out to me.
I look forward to opportunities to connect with you all,
Warm Regards,
Gill Dowd

I am super excited about being a part of the Hackham East Team and teaching the beautiful R/1s. Thank you to everyone for being so inclusive and making me feel so welcome.
This is my 6th year of teaching. Health, fitness & wellbeing are my hobbies. I love running & teach group fitness once a week. I also enjoy reading mystery and thriller novels.
Warm Regards,
