John XXIII Rowing Club

Dear Rowing Families
The 2025 season has commenced with rowers taking to the water this week. Remember the bus leaves the John XXIII bus shelter at 5:05am. Remember your water bottles, hat and breakfast for after training. See you at the boatshed!
2025 Rowing Club Registrations are now open for Years 9 to 12
It's never too late to register and the John XXIII Rowing Club welcomes existing and new members for our 2025 season.
Registrations are still open. Please complete the online Registration Form here:
Those who have not rowed before or would like to be a coxswain and represent the College are also encouraged to join.
2025 Year 8 Learn to Row
This year the Year 8 Learn to Row program will be held in Term 2. This allows us to have more sessions than in previous years, and the rowers will be offered the opportunity to race in two All Schools Regattas alongside the other John XXII rowers in Years 9 to 12.
Details are being finalised, and a registration form will be included in the newsletter in the coming weeks.
South West Head of the River
The South West Head of the River is fast approaching! This regatta is held at the Bunbury Rowing Club, Cobblestone Drive, Bunbury on Saturday 5 April and is a lot of fun while competing through the day.
Rowers and their families traditionally head down on Friday and stay overnight in Bunbury. Bunbury has many accommodation options; most families stay at The Lighthouse or the Lord Forrest. If you haven’t made your accommodation arrangements yet, we suggest making them soon as families from other schools also stay in Bunbury overnight.
Please register your child here if they are competing in the South West Head of the River.
