Wellbeing at Raywood PS

Life Skills GO

At Raywood, we’re all about looking out for each other! That’s why we’ve introduced the Life Skills GO program—a fun and interactive way for students to check in on how they’re feeling each day. By sharing our emotions, we’re building a school where everyone feels heard, supported, and valued.

But it’s not just about feelings! This program also helps students develop lifelong skills like handling stress, making great friendships, and communicating with confidence. Plus, it allows us to track trends in student wellbeing, so we can put the right supports in place when they’re needed most.

We know that talking about emotions isn’t always easy, but no one at Raywood is ever alone. Our amazing staff are always here to listen, support, and cheer you on. Together, we’re creating a school where everyone feels safe, understood, and ready to thrive!

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden

We’ve been busy working on a grant application for the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program! As part of this exciting project, our Grade 1 students got creative on Wednesday, crafting beautiful sculptures to support our application. Their sculptures featured vibrant flowers, fresh vegetables, and even some delightful animal additions—including birds, dogs, and chickens! It was a fantastic hands-on activity that showcased their enthusiasm for gardening and the outdoors.
