Parents & Friends' (PFA)
It’s our second last newsletter for the year and there is still plenty of activity to come.
Christmas Carols and Raffle - 11 December
By now you would have received an email from the school requesting donations of Christmas goodies for the raffle held on the night of the Christmas carols. Please donate any items you can, including any baskets or boxes, by Wednesday 6 December to the office. Thanks to our Prep class liaisons (Naobh Deka and Efra Chairul) and for taking the lead on organising the raffle. Please return any sold raffle tickets to the office.
The PFA will also be putting on a sausage sizzle with soft drinks and sausages for purchase - head on down for an early dinner before enjoying the carols. We may even give the popular snow cone machine another whirl. More details to come.
Dads’ Day Out - Saturday 25 November
Thanks to Troy and Scott for leading the charge on one more Dad’s Day Out last Saturday. And thanks to those who attended. It’s always a lot of fun.
Annual General Meeting 28th Nov (following the regular meeting)!
To continue the PFA’s vital role to support the school and provide social events, new volunteers are needed for 2024. Committee positions will be elected at this AGM and will be in place for one year until the 2024 AGM. I am sure previous members will be happy to provide assistance and support. The commitment is shared across the committee, class liaisons and the wider school community.
In 2024 the following roles will be vacant: 2 x Co-President, 1 x Treasurer. The committee cannot be formed unless the roles are filled so please consider assisting so the many enjoyable events can continue next year. For any information reach out to anyone in the PFA (Matt Lumsden, Rosaline Natale, Wes Folkdard, Fiona Flynn or any general PFA members) or Margaret Carlei. Please also refer to the short role description at the end of this article

Other ways to get involved – be a class liaison
Each class has 2 parents who volunteer to be a class liaison – spreading the word about PFA events, taking the lead on organising the PFA event delegated to their class (with the help of the class and the PFA), and organising an end of year gift for teachers. Being a class liaison is a great way to quickly meet others in your child’s class. No experience necessary!
Regards,
Rosaline, Matt and The PFA Committee
