Year 07 Girls Basketball

The Year 07 Girls played three games last Thursday. We were able to win our first game convincingly against Bundoora. Our next two games were against Viewbank and Greensborough, though we were competitive, we were unable to come away with the wins.

Our team connect with each other while playing on the day and on every Wednesday at training. We helped each other learn and expand our skills in basketball which helped us bring the team closer together.

We respected our teammates, the referee, the other teams, all of our coaches, the bus driver, and all of the helpers that came on the day. We did this by saying please and thank you, shaking the other team's hand at the end of the game and respecting the referees during the games.

We achieved by winning one game and not giving up in the last two games. Every single team member tried their very best and put a lot of effort into each game.

State Track & Field Events

As are result of their success (and other students who came 2nd) our school finished 16th out of 51 schools in the whole Norther Region on overall points tally – our best ever result!

So proud of all of our students who competed at the State Track and Field event on Monday 16 October.  At that level the competition is extremely tough - so any result is outstanding !

17 Boys Javelin - 8th

The conditions were pretty bad. My first two throws were fouls, if they hadn't I would have come 6th. In my last throw I just made sure it wasn’t a foul. It was a good day nonetheless apart from the weather.

Year 08 Girls Volleyball

The team of 08 students participated in the NMR Volleyball Finals on Tuesday 24 October at Darebin Sports Stadium. The girls had a brilliant day going up against some of the best school volleyball programs. They won one game and only just lost the other two games by a total of 4 points each. They played so well as a team and represented all the College values during the day. Well done also to Mrs Moussa for her coaching of the team leading up to the finals.

Well done!
