Transition for our 2024 Prep Students

This week we welcomed our new 2024 Preps once again for their final transition session at Trinity. It has been a wonderful experience for the children as they have become a little more familiar with school and their new learning environment. It was so great to see them making some new connections and friendships and enjoying some discovery learning. We also welcomed Ms Shari as one of our new teachers for 2024. Ms Shari will be joining Ms Kate and Ms Anna as our Prep teachers for 2024. We look forward to seeing our 2024 Preps again at the beginning of next year.

End of Year Assessments, Student Led Conversations and Reporting

Over the last few weeks the children have been busily completing assessments for the end of the year school reports. It is a busy time in the classrooms as teachers are trying to get through explicitly teaching the remainder of the Victorian Curriculum, while assessing your child's learning. Whilst this data gives us a good indication of student learning over the semester, this should not be a stressful time for any child. If you have any questions about any of the end of year assessments please see your child's class teacher or feel free to come and chat with me.

We look forward to sharing the students' progress and achievements with you at the Student Led Conversations which will be held in Week 10 on Thursday 7th of December and in their School Reports which will be emailed home on Monday 4th December.

Fantastic Mr Fox

As you might have heard we have had some little visitors under the deck of our school building. Our 1/2MB class have used ths opportunity to explore some rich literature around this looking at the book 'Fantastic Mr Fox' by Roald Dahl and 'Fox in Socks' by Dr Seuss. They have engaged in some writing about foxes, creating narratives and information reports.

Staying in touch...

If you have any questions or concerns about your child's learning, please do not hesitate to make contact with your child's teacher. You are also welcome to come and see me about any aspect of learning at Trinity.
