Celebrating Success in all Areas of School

Last week at School Council the school celebrated its ongoing ability to experience and celebrate success in all areas of the school. These extended from the classroom learning programs and the academic success the school has experienced in NAPLAN to the high levels of achievement and participation the school has had in Indonesian and Performing Arts competitions, and the numerous sporting achievements you've read about in recent newsletters.

The celebrations continued this week with:

  • Book Week excitement filling the school with Magic on Monday. 📖
  • Our Out of School Care program receiving the news that we achieved the highest possible National Quality Standard assessment rating of Exceeding! Well done Cassie, Kym, Jessica and Angela for leading such an outstanding program!
  • Our Mixed and Girls Netball teams' performances at the SSV Regional Championships. The girls lost by four goals in a thrilling final against Lysterfield, a team they defeated earlier in the day. The Mixed team won through to the State Championships on September 18! Well done to super coaches Kali Fraser and Kelly Gommers!
  • And to top it all off, our bellies were full with of pizza following our special canteen lunch! Thanks Karen! 🍕

Wakakirri - A Resounding Success!!

Our Wakakirri team took out an outstanding FIVE awards at last night's performing arts festival in Frankston:

🏆Storytelling For Strong Use of Festival Motif

🏆Ensemble Award for Acting

🏆Lead Cast Award for Acting

🏆Stage Managers Award for Teamwork

🏆Production Award for Soundtrack

The feedback from the organisers was very complimentary on our student's behaviour and the schools overall organisation and professionalism. We couldn't be more proud of you all!

Thanks Ros, Allannah Watterson, Bec Brown and all our parent volunteers for your dedication and preparation of the group! Also to Leigh Dixon and Jordan Tate for mixing the music.
