Bonjour
I hope you and everyone in your community have managed to stay safe and unaffected by the wild and windy weather. It’s always a relief when property remains intact despite challenging conditions and I hope that this is true for you. If you need any advice on handling the aftermath or just want to talk about how things are going, please reach out to each other and our community.
We are continuing our preparation for the upcoming VRQA review and keeping the focus on reviewing the policies, upgrading our facilities, and appraising our safety plans - crucial areas for ensuring a safe and effective environment. Our contextualised care, safety and welfare policies and procedures are communicated and accessible to parents/guardians, staff and students on our website and are being updated as they are reviewed. I invite you to visit our website from time to time to become familiar with this information and build transparency, ensuring everyone is on the same page regarding safety and care. If there’s anything specific you’d like feedback on or if you need assistance with any part of the process, just let me know!
Yesterday our Grade 3 - 6 students had a lovely outing into the community and visiting the Leongatha Daffodil and Floral Show was a vibrant and inspiring experience for teachers and students alike. It was a great chance to see such a wide variety of floral exhibits and engage with this community event. These kinds of excursions are fantastic for broadening students' horizons and sparking their interest in nature and the arts.
Our Father’s Day breakfast was a huge success! It’s fantastic to see such strong community support and involvement. All credit to the Parent’s and Friends Committee and all the volunteers for making it a memorable event. Celebrating the important role of dads and father figures in this way has made for a very special morning.
Congratulations to all the Grade 4 students making their First Eucharist this weekend! It’s a significant milestone in their spiritual journey, and it’s wonderful to see them reaching this important moment. Wishing them a meaningful and joyful celebration and I hope that you will be able to join with them in this celebration at Mass on Saturday, 31 August at 5:30 pm and Sunday, 1 September 2024 at 11:00 am at St Laurence's Church.
Que Dieu bénisse
