"Tournament of Minds is a problem solving program for teams of students from both primary and secondary years. Tournament's aim is to enhance the potential of our youth by developing diverse skills, enterprise, time management, and the discipline to work collaboratively within a challenging and competitive environment. Students are required to solve demanding, open-ended challenges across many disciplines", with St Laurence O'Toole Primary School choosing Social Sciences -A journey through the moral and ethical issues confronting society in the 21st Century.
It was wonderful to witness the enthusiasm and dedication of the seven Grade 6 students who took on the Tournament of Minds challenge, thanks to Grade 5/6 teacher Tanya Hamilton’s encouragement. The program provided a fantastic platform for them to hone their problem-solving skills, work collaboratively, and manage their time effectively. Participating in such a dynamic and public setting was both exciting and enriching for the students. Kudos to Tanya Hamilton for introducing them to this valuable experience and to the students for their hard work and commitment!
