Wear it Purple Day

Wear It Purple Day is happening on Wednesday, August 28th. Wear It Purple Day strives to foster supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for rainbow young people. On the day, we are holding a Purple Bake sale, and we are also inviting anyone who would like to support the initiative to wear something purple!

Purple Bake Sale and Wear it Purple Day accessories:

We are calling all bakers to make cupcakes and other small baked goods, decorated with a purple theme. Baked goods will be sold during the day (and at assembly if there are leftovers) with proceeds going to charity, Minus18. Please mark all baked goods with ingredients. We are seeking gluten-free baked goods too!If you are planning to donate baked goods (or even honey joys in a purple wrapper), please let us know as soon as possible or put your name down in our bakers’ volunteer sheet, here https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScQhKh2HwCblHh2KNfso4jhv5CfBUgnoIkfz6ovK6qwaiPR0w/viewform?usp=sf_link

Please bring all baked goods to the office before drop-off on Wednesday, August 28th.

We will also be selling Wear it Purple Day accessories such as bracelets and stickers for gold coin donation. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me: Sam.Guerra@education.vic.gov.au

New School Psychologist

  • We are pleased to let you know that we have finally secured a psychologist from OnPsych – Ana Romeo. Ana will be working at CNPS each Monday.

For anyone wanting counselling for their child, get a Mental Health Care Plan from your child’s GP, fill out the attached ‘Parent Pack 2024’, and either send it through to OnPsych or into Jane at the CNPS office.

New Choir Teacher

Shai is a passionate music educator with broad music interests ranging from jazz to top 40 pop to classical music. He studied classical piano from a young age with Debra Andreacchio and Eleanora Sivan. In 2014, Shai graduated with a Bachelor of Music in jazz piano from WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts), and has been writing, performing and teaching music professionally since then. His solo music has been played on Triple J, and he plays regularly around town with this project, as well as a handful of other contemporary bands. He also has toured playing for artists Coin Banks and Ziggy Ramo at festivals such as SOTA, Big Sound, Music Matters and Falls Festival.

Shai also teaches at Catholic Ladies' College and Merri Creek Primary School. He believes that music has the power to bring us into deeper connection with ourselves, with others and with community, and that joyous, dynamic lessons and ensembles can be a great introduction into this magical world.
