R U OK? Week

The R U OK? Organisation works to help foster imformal support networks and connections for people who may be struggling with mental health. The R U OK mission is to guide people on when and how to have a meaningful conversation with someone in their world who might be struggling.

A Conversation Can Change a Life:

Inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with the people around them and start a conversation with those in their world who may be struggling with life. You don't need to be an expert to reach out - just a good friend and a great listener.

R U OK Day was on Thursday 12th of September this year and the Wellbeing Team at Tarneit Senior College connected with numerous external services to attend the college on the day. During The week there were numerous activities for students supported by the: Wyndham Youth Services, Huddle / North Melbourne Football Club, African Youth Services and Western United Football Club. The college thanks all local services for supporting our R U OK Day events. Throughout the week activies included bracelet making, sport activities, games, crafting, and a range of performances from the student cultural dancers and the Year 12 music student bands.

The activities were thoroughly enjoyed by all staff and students!
