Science

Students in 3/4 and 5/6 enjoyed making Father’s Day gifts in science. 

 

5/6 students explored food chemistry and preservation through the techniques of pickling and dehydrating. They dehydrated lemons and pickled cucumbers and chillis.

 

3/4 students dehydrated garlic and herbs by baking them in salt. This was all mixed together to make a delicious flavoured seasoning.

 

We hope the dads and special carers enjoyed their gifts!
