Performing Arts & Music

The Foundation students are enjoying revising the musical element of tempo and beat in Music. They have been engaging in musical play with percussion instruments to a number of different songs. They are very good at keeping a beat and singing in time with the teacher.

The Grade 1s have perfected and performed their group performances of 'Peter and the Wolf' to the class. They should be so very proud of their efforts. They all worked really well as a group to work together and act out the story to an audience.

The Grade 2s should also be congratulated on performing their collaborative drama stories to the class. They worked together to act out a story and use music in their scenes where they could. I loved how some groups broke out into song during their performance to add atmosphere and energy to their story. A fantastic effort by Grade 2s for also being respectful audience members whilst their peers performed.
