Emerson School Investiture 2026

The Investiture of our Student Leaders took place yesterday in our Middle School Gymnasium.  Our Guest of Honour was Mr Stanley Hill who has lived at the rear of our Middle School since 1960.  He was on the very first School Committee at Greenslopes Primary School in 1962 which became our Middle Campus 50 years later in 2012.  Stanley is 95 years old.

Congratulations to our present and past students and their staff mentors who provided some outstanding musical performances.  It was a very emotional experience for our visitors, students and staff.

Congratulations to Dianne Wright and her colleagues for coordinating such a wonderful occasion, including a remarkable morning tea.

End of Term One

Parents/Guardians are reminded that Term One concludes next Thursday, 2nd April at 1.45 pm for the Middle Campus students and 2.00 pm for the Junior/Senior Campus students.  Parents can expect buses an hour early on that day.

Results of our School Council Elections 2026

1. Four nominations were received for the four Parent vacancies.  These candidates were duly elected.

2. Two Department of Education nominations were received for the two Department of Education vacancies.  These candidates were duly elected.

3. The School Council has considered the co-option of Community Members.  Heather Norman was co-opted for another two year period.

4. Following the announcements of elections and co-options, the School Council duly elected Office Bearers for the 2026 period. 

5. Our new School Council for 2026 are listed below.  I would like to thank all community members for participating in this important electoral process.
