Environmental Education News

Students in Foundation and Year 1/2 have been learning about energy, with a focus on electricity and how it is made. They have enjoyed building water wheels, wind turbines and solar ovens out of pizza boxes where they cooked some mushy marshmallows using the sun.
Year 3/4 students have travelled on a food journey, discovering how our fresh food is produced, packaged and transported before we are able to purchase it. They have enjoyed undertaking food experiments and planting new food plants in the urban farm.
Year 5/6 students have focused on wetlands where they have discovered what plants and animals call this environment their home. They have created amazing dioramas, where they presented what they now know about wetlands and their importance to our environment.
