From the Principal

It was a true pleasure and delight to celebrate our 2025 Family BBQ last Wednesday evening.
I thoroughly enjoyed talking to the many parents and seeing the children (and adults) have an absolute blast during the Colour Run. It provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with some of our new families and celebrate our diverse and inclusive school community.
Thank you to all the teachers and staff for their time and dedication in making the event such a success. Without our staff, this annual event could not happen! A special thanks to Mrs Gathercole for her exceptional planning and organisation from start to finish - she really is a Superstar with Superpowers! We truly are a remarkable community, with so much to be proud of and thankful for. For a full report, see page 4 of the newsletter.
A huge congratulations to our Year 3 and Year 5 students for successfully completing NAPLAN. While some students found the assessments challenging, and sitting in test conditions may have pushed them out of their comfort zones, I was incredibly proud of their perseverance and effort. It was inspiring to see students approach each assessment with a positive attitude and giving it their best, despite any difficulties they encountered. Their resilience and growth mindset are a reminder of how much learning and progress can happen when we step outside of our comfort zones. Thank you to Mr Verdichizzi and Mrs Harkness, the smooth operators behind the orderly organisation and technical genius!
An important reminder - tomorrow is Harmony Day, a special occasion dedicated to celebrating our diverse and inclusive multicultural community. We encourage all students to wear orange, the colour symbolising unity and respect, or students can wear cultural dress to reflect the rich cultural backgrounds that make our school and community so vibrant. Harmony Day serves as an important opportunity to come together and acknowledge the value of diversity, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual respect among all. It’s a wonderful chance for students to learn from one another, embrace different traditions, and promote inclusivity ensuring that everyone feels valued and celebrated for who they are.
The Harmony Day Assembly will commence at 2.15pm tomorrow in the hall. We welcome all parents, carers, family members and friends to attend. We look forward to seeing the colourful display of unity and pride throughout our school.
