Swimming Sensations

Here is some information on Casey Redford who was a Paralympian at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and Linley Frame who won gold at the 1991 World Swimming Championships.

Casey Redford

A Victorian Institute of Sport scholarship holder, Casey won three gold medals at the 1999 FESPIC Games, and a bronze medal at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney in the Women's 100 m backstroke S9 event. Casey is an arm amputee who enjoyed incredible success despite her disability. Casey had to prepare herself for Year 12 exams that she had to sit after returning from Sydney (2000). She swum in multiple events, including the one in which she won the Olympic medal.

Linley Frame

Linley is an Australian competitive swimmer who won a gold medal in the 100-metre breaststroke at the 1991 FINA World Aquatics Championships, and represented Australia at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, coming in 15th and 19th in her breaststroke events.

Linley and her sister Kathy dominated the swimming events for Melba throughout their time at the erstwhile Mentone Girls' High School before we changed our name to MGSC. The spectators used to be excited to see them compete and charge home metres in front with an air of imperium.
