Principal's Report

Thoughts from our Principal - Mrs Casey Chard

Dear Parents, Carers and Community Members,

As we approach the end of a very rewarding term, we take this opportunity to acknowledge the tremendous effort and perseverance shown by our students, particularly those in Year 3 and Year 5 who recently completed their NAPLAN assessments. We recognise that NAPLAN can sometimes feel overwhelming, but we are incredibly proud of how calmly and confidently our students approached each task. They gave their best, and that is something to be truly celebrated.

NAPLAN is just one of the many tools we use to assess student learning. While it provides valuable data that helps inform our teaching and support student growth, it is important to remember that it represents just one moment in time. Every student’s learning journey is unique, and we continue to celebrate the many ways in which our students grow and succeed—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

We are also deeply grateful to our skilled, helpful adults, whose dedication and encouragement ensured that students felt prepared and supported throughout the process. And to our parents and carers—thank you for your continued partnership, positivity, and encouragement. Your support plays a vital role in fostering a learning environment where every child can thrive.

Kindergarten 2026 Enrolments Now Open

Our enrolment period for Kindergarten 2026 is now open! Enrolment packages are available from the front office—just give us a call on (02) 67 321 372 to request a package or to book a personalised school tour.

We know that word of mouth is one of the most powerful ways to promote our wonderful school. If you know a family with a child ready to start Kindergarten next year, we’d love for you to share this information with them. Your positive experiences and personal recommendations help others see the welcoming, faith-filled, and high-quality learning environment we are proud to offer here at St Joseph’s.

Thank you for being such valued ambassadors of our school community!

Thank You to Our Wonderful P&F

We are incredibly grateful to have such a proactive and supportive Parents and Friends Association. Our recent P&F Golf Day was a fantastic success—bringing our community together in a spirit of enjoyment and raising over $6000 in the process!

The day was filled with great camaraderie, sportsmanship, laughter, and joy. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated committee, led so capably by President Jennie Dodds, for their hard work and organisation. The lunch spread was nothing short of outstanding, and the entertainment by our very own talented parent, Tahleia Gerlofsma, added a special touch to an already vibrant atmosphere.

Events like these truly showcase the strength of our thriving school community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day such a memorable one!

End of Term Blessings

As we wrap up the term, we take this opportunity to thank our wonderful St Joseph’s community for your ongoing support, enthusiasm, and involvement across all areas of school life. It’s been a busy and rewarding term, and we are so grateful for the collective efforts of our students, staff, parents, and carers.

We wish you all a joyful and holy Easter season, filled with peace, reflection, and time with loved ones. May the upcoming holiday break be restful and safe for all.

We look forward to seeing you at our Easter Hat Parade next Thursday!

May God bless you and your family.

Casey Chard
