Junior School Athletics Carnival
The Junior School Athletics Carnival was a fantastic day filled with good weather, school spirit, and exciting competition! With students proudly dressed in their house colours, the energy on the track and field was electric. From sprints to relays, long jumps to shot put, every event was met with enthusiasm and determination.
The highlight of the day? The hilarious blow-up animal costume race! Laughter and cheers filled the air as teachers in giant inflatable suits wobbled their way to the finish line.
Beyond the races and field events, the true spirit of the carnival shone through in the way students supported each other - cheering on their friends, celebrating personal bests, and enjoying a day of fun and teamwork.
A huge congratulations to all students for their efforts and a big thank you to the staff and PTFA for the delicious lunches and snacks.
Some highlights from Year 4 students were:
"Running head to head against my friend" - George
"Running the 100m was fun" - Mossy
"Seeing the animal race and getting high fives from them" - Alyra
"Winning shot put by 3cm" - Bobby-Joe
"Cheering other people on" - Rebecca A
"Making up cheers with the Knox girls" - Edie
The Age Group Champions were extremely close this year with some age groups seeing students win by only 1 point. Multiple recounts were undertaken to ensure they a accurate.
