NAPLAN
NAPLAN testing starts next week for students in Years 7 and 9 and is an exciting time in the calendar.
Students are encouraged to visit the Public Demonstration site to practice using the platform and the types of questions asked.
An extra check to ensure that laptops are fully charged and that wired headphones have been packed ready for Wednesday will ensure a smooth start.
NAPLAN is a great way of evaluating Literacy and Numeracy skills in test conditions and giving the College an indication of student and cohort levels of ability in these specific areas. We know also the NAPLAN does not test for the many other skills and attributes students have and excel at everyday. Students and families are encouraged to consider the benefits of NAPLAN but not lose sight of the myriad of other ways in which students show their learning and capabilities.
