From the Leadership Team

Each year I have the joy of being part of our Carnivals; and indeed, the recent Swimming Carnival was such a wonderful experience.

Carnivals, of course, aren't just about the fast laps and fierce competition, it’s also a celebration of school spirit, community, and fun in the sun with friends and peers.

I just love how carnivals bring everyone together. At Swimming Carnival, whether it was staff and students cheering from the sidelines, everyone getting involved in the novelty events, races down the waterslides, creative Village chants or just enjoying the water, it’s a chance for students, teachers, and families to bond.

I still have fond memories of these types of events as a student and, while I was quite a poor swimmer in Secondary School, being a part of something as a whole community and a break from the usual classroom routine, was always appealing to me.

For the swimmers, the day is a wonderful celebration of their hard work and God-given gifts. For the rest of us ‘land-lovers’, it’s a brilliant day to celebrate others’ gifts as well as building memories with others.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff who worked tirelessly to make the day happen, especially our Sports Coordinators and Health and Physical Education Department.

A big thanks to the students for stepping outside their comfort zone and of course, thanks to all those parents who popped in to watch the day unfold, it was great to see you there.

Hebrews 10:24-25:

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
