Year 7 Camp

We arrived at camp after a long bus ride, to welcoming and friendly staff at Camp Weekaway. After enjoying some chocolate mousse cake, we found our activity groups and set off for our first activity for the day. Devouring down some yummy pizza for dinner, the teachers set up our very own mini olympics, after playing those we found our rooms and got ready for bed. And just like that day one was over!

We woke up bright and early ready to start day two. On the menu that morning was hashbrowns, cereal and toast. First up on the agenda was canoeing, we had such helpful instructors who geared us up and took us down to the dam to have so much fun in the canoes. For lunch that day was juicy burgers on fresh brioche buns. Archery was next, going up against friends in your activity groups to see who was best. Afternoon tea was banana bread with cream cheese icing. To end off the day we had a liturgy with students presenting and saying prayers. Camp group 1 had the choice of - volleyball, basketball, trivia or a movie. And group 2 had an awesome talent show where kids performed and acted to finish off day 2.

And just like that it was already day three, pancakes and maple syrup were on the menu with a side of fresh fruit. We started off the last day with a flying fox. We got our harnesses on and then climbed the hill to get on. We all went one at a time and got the chance to do cool tricks. After that, chocolate chip cookie cookies were for morning tea. Another activity and then, delicious crispy chicken wraps with mayo or sweet chilli sauce for lunch. Then we headed on the buses for home!
