Making Maths Fun…(ish)

Ms Deer has stepped into the Year 8 class two days a week to co-teach with me as I navigate Math curriculum. Consequently, she has brought her infinite wisdom and a plethora of teaching ideas to help bring concepts to life.

This week, we started visually constructing “square numbers”, which we did by using counters to create squares, such as 1, 4, 9, 16 and so on.

Steele and Dusty went a little further, and (possibly got a little off track but…) created this visually pleasing square masterpiece.
