On Friday, 28th March, our Geography students embarked on an exciting field trip to Fortitude Valley, focusing on Brunswick Mall and the Train Station. Despite the rain, they remained determined and made the most of the day, demonstrating great resilience and commitment to their learning.
Throughout the excursion, students collected valuable primary data, including user surveys, movement surveys and detailed mapping of the area. This hands-on experience allowed them to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting, enhancing their understanding of urban environments and data collection techniques.
Their behaviour and dedication were exceptional, representing our school with pride and professionalism. Jai and Zayne also learnt a valuable life lesson, not to leave their bags unattended, after security decided to take matters into their own hands!
Overall, it was an amazing experience that reinforced the importance of field studies in Geography.
