A Note from the Principal

Mr Ross Jardine

Dear Toogoolawah SHS Community,

Welcome back to Term 2! I would like to begin by thanking all of our families for working together with us in partnership throughout Term 1. I trust you have stayed informed about your child’s progress by logging into Daymap and accessing a live snapshot of their Term 1 assessment. Your support and involvement play an important role in helping our students succeed, and we are committed to continuing to build on that strong foundation this term.

This week, we are proud to share with you Issue 118 of our school newsletter. I strongly commend it to all families, as it captures the energy and achievements across our school community. Some highlights include:

  • Checking Term 1 results and learning how to access your child’s progress through Daymap Connect.
  • Marking important immunisation dates for 2025 and a reminder about responsible social media use.
  • Celebrating student success, including Geography fieldwork in Fortitude Valley, outstanding performances by our Instrumental Music students at the State Honours Ensemble Program and Year 8 STEM rocket launches.
  • Joining the QParents Challenge, which is a simple way to stay connected and help your student’s year level win a reward.
  • Reviewing clear reminders about uniform expectations, detention procedures and positive behaviour rewards through the Stamp Store.
  • Exploring community opportunities such as local job openings and athletics programs.

There is also important information about our school dress code, student support services, and how to stay informed through Daymap.

Please take a few minutes to read through this newsletter because it is a small snapshot of the pride, respect, and commitment that define our TSHS community.

All the best for a strong start to Term 2!

Ross Jardine
