Senior School

(Year 10 - Year 12)

Shaped By Learning and Leadership

Term 2 has been a vibrant and purposeful period across the Senior School, with students engaging in leadership, learning, service and co-curricular opportunities that continue to shape both individual growth and community connection.

We began the term by honouring ANZAC Day, with students representing the School at services across the Mornington Peninsula. Their respectful presence reflected a deep understanding of service, courage and sacrifice, and the importance of contributing thoughtfully to the wider community.

This sense of responsibility continued with the launch of the 2026 Stand Up Project. Alongside a parent information session, students were introduced to an initiative that equips them to respond to bullying and discrimination with confidence and care. Through leadership training, they build the skills to recognise behaviours, understand the role of bystanders and take action that supports a more inclusive School culture.

Our student leaders also stepped into the broader community through the Committee for Frankston and Mornington Peninsula School Leaders Forum, hosted at Peninsula Grammar. Joining peers from across the region, they shared considered perspectives on the key issues facing young people today. It was encouraging to see students engaging with these ideas as they prepare to contribute as active citizens.

Learning beyond the classroom has remained a focus throughout the term. Geography students travelled to Kinglake, bringing their studies to life through fieldwork, while our Unit 3 and 4 Outdoor and Environmental Studies students undertook their camp experience, deepening their understanding of the natural environment. In Biology, students began their own scientific investigations, designing and conducting research that builds independence and critical thinking.

Global connections were also strengthened as we welcomed students from Thailand through our Study Tour program. Across the Middle and Senior School, students formed meaningful connections and shared experiences that broaden perspectives and build cultural understanding. In the co-curricular space, students embraced opportunities to pursue their interests and challenge themselves.

Our musicians represented the School at Generations in Jazz, developing their performance skills and collaborating with peers from across the country. House Cross Country brought the community together, with strong participation and a clear sense of belonging evident across all year levels.

The term has also been marked by a strong focus on academic growth, with examinations commencing in Week 6. Alongside their studies, students have continued to develop effective habits around time management, revision and self-regulation, supporting both their learning and wellbeing.

Together, these experiences reflect a term of steady growth, meaningful challenge and strong community connection. We commend our students for the way they have approached each opportunity and wish all families a restful and enjoyable break.
