Year 6 After School Rehearsals

Dear Year 6 Families,

We encourage all Year 6 students to keep learning their lines and practising at home. The script is available through Google Classroom. You're doing an amazing job - keep it up!

Year 6 rehearsals for the school musical, ‘Jonah's Druthers’ are in the Performing Arts Centre (PAC) auditorium on Mondays after school this term with Miss McKennall and Ms Cook. These are the only drama rehearsals, so attendance is compulsory. 

For duty of care requirements, students must be picked up directly from the PAC by their carer, UNLESS you notify class teachers of other plans in writing prior to the rehearsal beginning (for example, student walks home, is being picked up by someone else, joins sports practice in another part of the school).

In the past, the staff at OSHC have collected students who would normally be at OSHC for that afternoon, so check with OSHC about this. Wherever possible, we have allowed for earlier pick-up times so please check the schedule carefully.

We encourage students to bring extra snacks, water, and have their homework/quiet activity with them (no devices). They will have short breaks during the rehearsal time. We have endeavoured to not have students sitting around waiting, but sometimes this is inevitable. Students are expected to be able to wait quietly if other scenes are being rehearsed.
