Principal's Message

Can you believe there are only five weeks left of learning here at Roxburgh Homestead Primary School? Though we’ve got a lot of exciting things to look forward to at the end of the year, we won’t be slowing down until the very end as we know that every day of learning counts!

Attendance:

Unless your child is very unwell, please join us in encouraging full school participation. Even when grumpy, sleepy, or a bit emotional, the best place for your child is in the classroom, building their resilience to overcome the challenges that life will present. Early learned habits are very difficult to break, so we invite all families to help us build a culture that places education and child development of the utmost importance. If you have concerns sending your child to school or they are expressing hesitation, please reach out to your child’s teacher or a member of our wellbeing team. We are always here to support you, and we always want to see your child coming through the school gates every single morning. 

2026 Planning:

As I am sure you can imagine, we are deep into planning for 2026. If your family is leaving our school, please make sure you have notified the office and completed an exit form. Alternatively, if you have a child who is starting school in 2026, we are still accepting enrolments and will need you to complete the necessary forms. Our friendly office team are always ready to support you, and we have translation on hand for Arabic and Turkish speakers as well.

Swimming Program:

First it was the 5/6s, then the 3/4s and then next week it will be the 1/2s who will be diving into the pools for their swimming lessons. As a school, we value providing this opportunity to all students as we know how important this life skill is. I’m sure the 1/2s will have a wonderful time in their program next week.

That’s all for another fortnight from me. Help us and your child keep the momentum going all the way to finish line in what has been a fantastic year of learning here at RHPS in 2025.
