What a great time we had on Camp! We spent Wednesday exploring the outdoor museum, panning for gold and tenpin bowling - 1850s style! We got to bed late, after seeing the sound and light show, Aura. It was spectacular.
On Thursday we did our hair in plaits, removed our jewellery and pulled on our boots to go back in time to be students of 1854. Everyone got into costume, even the teachers. We all looked fabulous. We spent the day in School, learning what we would have back in those days, and picked up a few new skills.
Friday was a similar day. Students were taken down to the gold mining creek to try their luck. I think nearly everyone found gold! We watched a gold pour demonstration, saw the Red Coat Soldiers and had the best time ever.
A huge thank you to Anya, Mrs Howard and Prue Hansen for coming with us.
Another thank you to Miss Stark for taking care of the 4s while we were away.

Back at school, we have been working really hard to complete all our testing. The students have been super resilient and tried their hardest on all tests.
This week we have resumed normal learning. We have made our own board games in Maths, focussing on a certain topic from the year. It's been great to see everyone's creativity.
In Writing we have written our own 'Fractured Fairytales' - putting our own spin on a classic. Think 'Little Red and the Delivery Drone', 'Goldilocks and the Three Robots'.
We have also analysed fairytales in Reading, looking at the key features, visualising scenes, and comparing points of view in fairytales.
