Below I have included a little bit of information provided by our new teachers Grace and Ashlee.
Hello everyone, my name is Grace Thomas or Miss Thomas. I am excited to begin my teaching career at Bunyip Primary School. I am passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where every child feels heard, valued, and able to thrive. I have grown up on the Mornington Peninsula and cannot wait for a change in scenery out here in Bunyip. I have spent the last 3 years working in Before and After School Care where I bring strong experience working with all children and those children of diverse needs and backgrounds. I am a motivated, caring, and enthusiastic teacher who is eager to contribute positively to your school community. I cannot wait for the 2026 school year 😊
Thank you
Grace
Hi Bunyip Primary School community, my name is Ashlee Smith, I have lived in Bunyip since I was 6 and attended primary school here from Year 1-6 and was even the school captain all those years ago. I have just finished driving a lap of Australia with my fiancé visiting some of the country’s best and most iconic landmarks. When I’m not teaching I love to play netball, crochet, sew and paint. I’m passionate about helping others reach their full potential which is why I became a teacher.

Glee Club:
We had a wonderful visit to Hillview Aged care on Thursday afternoon, where 25 of our Glee Club students performed and entertained the residents. Our students did an amazing job showcasing their talents. They have certainly grown in ability and confidence over the year. Thank you to Alison and Glee staff for organising this event and thank you to the parents who assisted with supervision walking to and from Hillview.

Hats for Term 4:
Can parents and guardians please ensure your children have a school SunSmart hat with them at school. School hats need to have a broad brim and either have the school logo or be plain navy blue. Students without a school hat will not be able to participate in outdoor activities including Phys Ed, Sport, Excursions and outdoor Brian Breaks. Students without the appropriate hat will also be restricted on where they are able to play.
Pancake Breakfast
Thank you to the Parents and Friends Committee that were up bright and early to cook pancakes for students and staff. The pancake mix was generously donated by both The Pancake Parlour and a family of the school. They were absolutely delicious!
