Pilgrims of Hope
Tomorrow's school closure, brings an exciting opportunity for the staff as they participate in a special professional and spiritual development day, engaging in a staff pilgrimage to the city.
This pilgrimage will be undertaken in the spirit of the Catholic Church’s Jubilee Year of Hope for 2025.
This year, called by Pope Francis, is a time of pilgrimage, forgiveness, and renewal, centered on the theme "Pilgrims of Hope."
It is an opportunity for our educators to deepen their understanding of their mission and renew their commitment to our school's spiritual and educational values, ensuring they continue to nurture an environment of hope and growth for your children.
The staff will begin their day with a guided educational program at the National Gallery of Victoria. This curated experience will allow our staff to explore how sacred themes, stories, and symbols have been interpreted through art across various cultures and historical periods.
Following the NGV program, staff will journey on pilgrimage to St Patrick's Cathedral.
As a central place of worship and history in our Archdiocese, this visit will serve as a powerful reminder of the deep roots and enduring tradition that underpins Catholic education.
This staff pilgrimage also coincides with World Teacher's Day. By choosing this day for our pilgrimage, we acknowledge the sacred role that teaching plays in forming the minds, hearts, and spirits of the next generation. We believe this shared experience will strengthen our teaching community and, in turn, enrich the learning and spiritual life of your children.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we invest in the spiritual and professional renewal of our dedicated staff.
