Last Saturday evening, we celebrated the Sacrament of the Eucharist with our Year 4 students. It was a beautiful ceremony, led by Father Bill in our school church. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents who supported their children on this important journey.
Holy Week is a significant time for Catholics, marking the final days of Lent and leading up to Easter Sunday. It commemorates the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, which are central to our faith. Each day of Holy Week holds special meaning, from Palm Sunday to Good Friday, culminating in the joy of Easter. This week we held a liturgy at the end of each day to highlight the important events of Holy Week, helping our community to reflect on and appreciate the profound love and sacrifice of Jesus. Our students, guided by their class teachers, were busy preparing and did a wonderful job representing these key events.
This week our Pope Francis students walked up to Our Lady of the Sacred Heart church for Palm Cross Making. The students learned how to make the crosses with other parishioners. They were joined by Father Pat, Father Michael and Father Bill. The students had a wonderful time collaborating with the parish through this outreach project.
