Macquarie Street Adventure
The Macquarie Street Adventure is a full day of activities held along Macquarie Street, bringing together the NSW Parliament, Museums of History NSW with the State Library of NSW. Spend the day visiting all three destinations and enjoy a range of activities designed for 5–12-year-olds.
This free school holiday event will be held on Tuesday 15 April 10am - 3pm.
Build a cardboard Mega City!
Calling all budding builders and town planners! Dive into the State Library’s box of craft supplies in the John B Fairfax Learning Centre on Tues 15, Wed 16, Thurs 17 and Tues 22, Wed 23, Thurs 24 April. Best of the Worst Workshop
Join Eva Amores and Matt Cosgrove, creators of the popular book series Worst Week Ever for a fun workshop that includes drawing, writing tips and lots of laughs. Bookings essential. Get in early, this will be a popular event! Tues 15 April 2-3 pm.

A Date for your Diary
Family Sunday: Writing Workshop with Jacqueline Harvey
Popular children’s author Jacqueline Harvey visited St Patrick’s in 2024 as part of our Book Week celebrations. Our students were mesmerised by her stories and engaging presentation. In partnership with the Sydney Writers’ Festival Jacqueline Harvey will be running a workshop for budding authors aged 6-12 at The State Library on Sunday 18 May. Book early for this one! Premier’s Reading Challenge 2025
Our students have embraced the Premier’s Reading Challenge 2025 with great enthusiasm. A reminder to email engage.01908@sydstu.catholic.edu.au when students in Years 3-6 have completed the Challenge. Instructions on logging Reading Records online and new passwords for 2025 will be forwarded to families. Congratulations to students who have already completed the Challenge!
