Term 1 Edition 2 2025
The second half of Term 1 has been filled with events and wonderful opportunities for students to experience learning and engagement, both within the classroom and in extra-curricular events.
A true highlight of our school calendar was the whole-school Badges Assembly, which was held on Monday 24th March. This very important event is where we gather to celebrate student excellence in learning, in addition to student leadership. This year was the first time in our history that we recognised the newly established Year 12 Student Leadership Team and the elected Student Representative Council. It was also very special to have the parents of our new student leaders join us. Each student leader was presented with their Leadership Badge of Office and we also recognised student achievement, by awarding a number of learning and leadership scholarships.
Our annual Open Morning took place on Tuesday 25th March and it was a massive success, with well over a hundred prospective families coming to experience our school. The families toured through the entire school and were able to experience what powerful and engaging learning looks like as they moved through the different learning spaces. Reservoir High School is a very special place and I was so proud that it was reflected in the learning that is evident across our school each day.
Parent/Teacher Interviews were held last week, with a combination of onsite and online sessions. It was wonderful to see so many of our families meeting with our teachers, further strengthening the learning partnership that is critical to the success of our young people at school.
As we come to the end of a very productive, energised and purposeful term, I wish all of our students and families a very restful break. I hope you take the time to re-connect with one another and enjoy the beautiful Autumn weather.
Kind regards,
Katie Watmough
