Creating Glen the Roo was no simple task. It began as a small idea that grew into this masterpiece. Our group was determined to create a mascot that truly embodied the meaning of Glen Waverley Primary School. We wanted a unique mascot that showed GWPS’s core values.
The journey to bring Glen the Roo to life was filled with laughter, brainstorming sessions, and a few challenges along the way. Each obstacle we faced only strengthened our ideas and taught us different skills like persistence. We remained focused and engaged in the task to take us to the final stage.
It first started with a few keywords that describe our school:
Then it transformed into a character that embodied all of these traits: Glen the Roo. He is sporty, academic, kind, and supportive. He embodies everything that a good friend should be. He isn’t just a mascot but he is a friend to all. He is what this school needs, a powerful supporter who can push people to new heights with heart.
Glen the Roo isn't just a mascot; it's a monument to show what we can achieve when we work together. With his vibrant colours and energetic stance, Glen represents the enthusiasm and spirit of our school community. Whether it's cheering at sports events or lending a paw during school activities, Glen is always ready to jump into action.
Now, we're reaching out to you, the Glen Waverly community, to help us take the final step. Your vote is crucial in deciding whether Glen the Roo will become the official mascot for Glen Waverley Primary School in 2025. A simple ballot with Glen the Roo's name is a vote for creativity, teamwork, and school pride.
Remember, every vote counts, and your decision will shape the identity of our school for years. By voting for Glen the Roo, you're supporting a vision that honours respect, global empathy, initiative and integrity. Let’s get together and vote for Glen the Roo!
