A Term of Generosity and Fun!

What an incredible term it has been for community spirit and fundraising at GWPS! Our students, families, and staff have once again come together to make a difference, showing generosity, enthusiasm, and a whole lot of creativity along the way.

Flora and Fauna Day – A Wild Success!

On Thursday, 13th March, we hosted our first major fundraiser for 2025—Flora and Fauna Day—and what a day it was! The creativity on display was truly remarkable, with students strutting around in everything from towering trees and roaring dinosaurs to some rather imaginative walking bushes!

Beyond the fun, our school community’s generosity was on full display, with $582 raised for Wildlife Victoria! A special shout-out to Class 5F, who raised the most money on the day—fantastic effort! Thank you to everyone who donated and participated; your support truly makes a difference.

Zooper Doopers & Coin Race for the Good Friday Appeal

Our Zooper Dooper sales throughout Term 1 also contributed to our fundraising efforts, with all proceeds going towards the new Year 6 play area. We raised a total of $2,816.85.

Today, we’re wrapping up Term 1 with our highly anticipated Coin Race, raising funds for the Good Friday Appeal. Students have been eagerly bringing in their spare change, and we can’t wait to see which class takes out the top spot! The final amount raised, and the winning class will be announced early next term—stay tuned!

Thank You, GWPS Community!

These incredible fundraising efforts wouldn’t be possible without the ongoing support of our students, families, and staff. Your generosity and enthusiasm continue to make a difference, and we are so grateful.

We can’t wait to see what we achieve together in Term 2!
