Community Learning Project - Presentation Day

Don Valley is a pretty part of the world and I was lucky enough to head there today to see the presentation of our school group’s CLP. This project is the culmination of a term’s work for the students, who have dedicated class time at the campus to find a topic they are all passionate about. They then create a project that will benefit our community in some way and develop plans of how to achieve their goal when they return home.  Our students have chosen to engage primary school students in local Aboriginal culture.

Next week is the last week of the term-long residential program for our team of 5, with the students returning to school next term. I am sure we will hear some amazing stories about their experiences and their learning.

Holidays

Friday the 4th of April is the last day of Term 1. It is frightful to think of how fast time is flying by! Students finish the term by participating in the House Cross Country event in period 5 (1.40 - 2.30pm).

Students finish school at 2:30pm.

Term 2 resumes on Tuesday 22nd April (Monday 21st is the Easter Monday public holiday) with classes starting promptly at 9am.
