Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers

Term 4 is now well underway, and it’s been a pleasure to see students and staff return with renewed energy after the break. The sense of purpose and positivity across the school has been truly uplifting.

Next week, we will farewell our Year 12 students. The whole school assembly on Tuesday 20 October will be a heartfelt celebration of their achievements, followed by the much-anticipated Dinner Dance that evening. These events mark an important milestone, and we are proud of the way our students have conducted themselves throughout their final year.

As we move into Week 2, our Year 12 ATAR students are now in the final stages of preparation for their WACE written exams, which begin on Wednesday 29 October. We wish them all the very best as they revise and prepare. Their dedication and resilience have been inspiring, and we know they will approach the exams with determination and focus.

We’d also like to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to our Year 12 teachers. Many parents have shared their appreciation for the care, expertise, and commitment shown by staff throughout the year, and we know students have also taken the time to acknowledge their efforts. Your support has made a lasting impact, and we thank you for going above and beyond.

World Teachers’ Day will be celebrated this Friday, 31 October, and we invite students and families to take a moment to recognise the teachers who have made a difference. A simple card, email, or kind word can mean so much. We will be hosting a special morning tea to honour our incredible staff and the work they do every day to support and inspire our students.

We are also delighted to announce the Year 12 Leadership Group for 2026.

Congratulations to the students selected to represent their peers and uphold the values of Applecross Senior High School. These young leaders have demonstrated outstanding potential and will play a key role in shaping the school’s culture and initiatives in the coming year. We look forward to working with them and supporting their growth.

Finally, as our school continues to grow, we are actively working on infrastructure improvements. Over the summer break, we expect the delivery of five new transportable classrooms, which will help accommodate our expanding student population.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We are grateful to be part of such a vibrant and caring school community, and we look forward to a busy and exciting term ahead.

Warm regards,
