Secondary Student Leaders 

Hello Leighland community

I'm sad to say that this is the last article we will be writing to you as School Captains. This year has been a blast and we've done so many amazing things. Millie and I have been privileged to lead this school together, along with our awesome team. I believe this year has helped us both grow so much in our faith and leadership skills and we are so grateful to have had this opportunity. Each event we have run, we have given all our effort and love into it, desperate for each student to know and encounter Jesus. 

This year we've held a Revive worship night each term, every one of them incredible in its own way. We loved creating a space each week in Awaken for the students to worship God, be encouraged by local pastors and speakers, and to have fun and fellowship together. Though we've organised many other events, the ones that put Jesus at the centre really brought our school community together. 

To our team, thank you for all your hard work, contribution, and dedication to the team and to the events we run. You all have shown your love for Jesus through everything you do and we are so grateful for that. I pray that each time you're put in a position to lead, that you would continue to show Jesus' love and compassion like you have this year. 

I am so grateful for 2025 and the adventures it's brought and I pray a blessing over 2026 and the student leaders who will be leading the school next year.
