Just a friendly reminder that everyone is invited to join us for the below event.

Decoding the Universe at OLSS 🪐
This week, our school community celebrated National Science Week with a series of exciting and engaging activities. The theme for this year was "Decoding the Universe," which encouraged our students to explore the hidden language of nature through science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Lego WeDo 2.0, a hands-on robotics and programming platform. Through building and coding simple models, students will apply their understanding of materials and design to solve real-world problems. They’ll explore how different materials interact with moving parts and how digital systems can control movement. This engaging program supports students in developing creative thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills as they design, test, and improve their own inventions using a variety of materials and programming concepts.
Students across all year levels participated in hands-on experiments and investigations, sparking curiosity and a love for discovery. From exploring patterns in nature and understanding the world around us, to delving into the big ideas of the universe, our students were truly amazing. We saw some incredible teamwork and problem-solving skills on display!
A huge thank you to all our staff for their wonderful support in making this week such a success, and to our students for their enthusiastic participation. We hope these activities have inspired them to continue exploring the fascinating world of science!

Billy Slater by Oscar G
I adore watching Billy Slater, his skills, agility, speed and especially his intelligence. His inspirational appearances make him my idol, he's the reason why I started playing NRL. He’s a master on the field and in the coaches box. The smart plays he makes up dominate the opposing team no matter how hard the other team is. I still love watching videos of him winning the grand finals and all the State of Origins. From winning his junior club finals to winning the world cup, he is just the best, no matter what.
