Grade 6

SWPBS / Wellbeing
This week was filled with opportunities for personal growth and building relationships. In the final two weeks of primary school, Grade 6 students will continue to focus on being positive role models.
We are looking forward to celebrating in the last week of school with Graduation and Geelong Adventure Park.
English
In Reading, we are continuing with our knowledge-rich unit: Immigration and International Relations. Students will continue to learn new vocabulary and have rich discussions about the text.
In writing, we will be utilising the last two weeks to revise grammar and sentence structures. Students will be writing MPOs (multi-paragraph - outlines) on the Gold Rush. The focus will be on organising information into paragraphs and writing strong conclusions.
Mathematics
Students have worked extremely hard to complete their end-of-year assessments. Over the last few weeks, they will be learning to calculate percentages of whole numbers, and reviewing concepts from earlier in the year.
Creative Connections
As we approach the end of the year, Grade 6 will be completing their final touches on their totems and dioramas. We will be making some room to engage in some "Creative Christmas Connections."
